Now is the time… 150 Makers made the June 1 deadline to apply for our 10th Annual Maker Faire Detroit.  But, we know it only just began to feel like summer in Michigan so we’re giving you a few more days.  Maker Application extended to June 15.  But seriously, that’s it.  Apply now.

Who’s coming?  Wow!  Tons of awesome folks.

LeVar Burton is joining us in honor of this summer’s limited-engagement exhibit Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds and our launch of the new documentary he narrates In Saturn’s Rings.

Amber Kemp-Gerstell, a finalist from Making It, will share some of her fun and fab craft projects.

Fan favorites including the Mandalorian Mercs and the 501st Legion; model rocket making on the front lawn; Cirque Amongus; i3Detroit, Lansing Maker Network, and All Hands Active; the Power Racing Series; and First Robotics.  (and many many more…)

Proving that making is for all, Zot Arts returns this year with their accessible art making contraptions.

New this year is an outdoor main stage for music, fast talks, and fun presentations.  We’re looking forward to the band Five Year Mission.

We will also have even more workshops and hands-on opportunities this year.  From Girl Scout STEM activities, to learn to solder, to indigo dyeing we are ensuring there is something new to try and to learn.

What would you like to share?  Apply NOW!  Space is limited and filling fast with great projects.  We hope to welcome you as well.
